NEON Announces Annual International e-Business Conference
DENVER, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- New Era of Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEON - news) today announced plans for the NEON International User Group Conference 2000, ''Transforming Business Into e-Business,'' which will be held January 30 -- February 2 in Denver. Executives from NEON's strategic partnerships will keynote the event, including speakers from Microsoft Corp., IBM, Commerce One, BroadVision and Hewlett Packard. ''The Internet is forging closer collaboration and relationships among businesses, creating a tremendous opportunity for efficiency gains across the supply chain and more personalized services for consumers,'' said Microsoft vice president of e-commerce Peter Boit, who will give a keynote speech on leveraging the power of the Internet to drive new e-commerce. ''Our strategic relationship with NEON allows us to build stronger ties with thought leaders in the industry to deliver best of breed e-commerce solutions.'' NEON recently announced the availability of NEON e-Biz 2000, an e-commerce Integration Server fully compliant with the Windows DNA platform. John B. Landry, former IBM vice president of technology strategy and current chairman of AnyDay.com, will give a keynote speech on business trends driving the e-Business revolution, emerging business models, risks to businesses posed by dot.coms and how to overcome the risks and enjoy the rewards of a dot.com company.

IBM MQSeries Chief Technology Officer Taf Anthias, who will speak on IBM's MQSeries Family and the importance of integration in e-Business, explained, ''With the explosion of e-Business, we saw the necessity for a solid product to take companies from 'bricks to clicks.' The partnership between IBM and NEON has delivered such a product with our joint technology.''
