If Im wrong? Im wrong. I like the rest of you think the Boy will eventually get sent back.

I realize all this is water under the bridge, but Marcos? you tell me? Do you think it would it be difficult for a Cuban HOTEL WORKER to support two families independently? I know you think it is immaterial but forget about that for now. I still contend the father could not do it adequately and it was the boy and the mother who were suffering. I believe this to be 70% probability true, 30% false. What do you think the probability is??? Even if you say it is 50/50 I still see the fathers new wife putting pressure on him to keep payments to a bare minimum.

I will tell you one thing though? no matter what happens that boy is going to resent his father for what happened to his mother. Odds are that little guy is going to feel his mother was pushed into making the excursion through the failed relationship.

They will never be never close.

Now as to the reverse of situation? if it was an American boy stuck in Cuba. What I posted earlier still stands. I would opt to leave the boy in Cuba if he was guaranteed a superior family environment with a education. You all should forget country politics. This is a humanitarian issue that has no boundaries.

BTW - Spend some time in Spain and you will soon get accustomed to regularly hearing some incredibly nasty things. It is much more commonplace there and I am for the most part desensitized to it. What I am saying is thanks for reminding me that Latinos are much more toned down with this type of communication? at least until they get to know you. And when they do? they still can?t hold a candle to the Spanish.
