I don't think either company will go broke selling microprocessors, but then again I don't think halcyon days are ahead for either.

I don't disagree with your view but when AMD was trading at $17 to 19, there was incredible upside potential that is being realized as I type this post. And probably won't be seen again. I suspect AMD will go now to $50.

That's what made AMD an amazing buy a couple of months. Yes, there was risk but it was calculable risk with the Athlon looking really good.
