I minored in economics in college. So forgive me if I am wildly off base- but doesnt this mean we'll end up with a socialist economic system "by the back door" ?

Stalin tried it with tanks, but maybe the internet will finally squeeze out all the profitable inefficiecies of capitalism... And if profits are low, or zero, does capitalism really exist anymore?

Hell, to go one step further, in the world of "star trek" money doesn't even exist because material needs are practically free and ALL information is available to anyone that wants it. I guess they're socialist, according to the definition.
