...The W9922MF provides Winbond with a base technology to use in developing a series of MPEG-2 audio and video products. Future products will include the W9922AF, a dedicated MPEG-2 chip for DVD (digital video disc) players that also supports sub-picture and Dolby AC-3 audio, and the W9922SF, a single chip for set-top box audio and video decoding. These two chips will be available next year...

Remind me to look at them again next year.

PS: To you old time Cubies that lurk here: I've always wondered why the Windbond MPEG1 chip looked so much like a CL450. Remember the CL250?
