That post wasn't to you per se` but the thread in general (you were just the last in line). No, sorry, I don't have the link, that was off a PDF file I downloaded a while back.

And I will go out on a limb here, I don't think Win2k is going to have serious *new* market penetration. I believe they are going to have hard going into the enterprise, the handheld, and overseas, that covers the fastest growing segments. I believe they are going to be defending territory.

I do agree that as more ISVs do native ports imperfect middleware solutions will be maginalized, and that MS will try to keep their APIs a moving target. Intuit is one of the few remaining major players on the desktop that hasn't begun or anounced Linux ports of their product line (and I read one rumor that reported a Linux announcement by them by Q2).
