I am more interested in finding out if there is an actual Option or similar derivative than just shorting the QQQ. I would rather just short the most overvalued elements of those indices, though I do use Spiders and QQQ sometimes to balance the short and long side of my portfolio.

To me the only way to make money with options is if you believe that there is a greater risk of the security dropping (or climbing) than is anticipated by the market.

In this case I believe there is a high risk that the Nasdaq will fall to about 3000 - 3500 by late March. Higher, I believe than would be built into the price of the Puts.
