Scott, Your point regarding defensive responses to critical posts is well taken. Michael Burke once stated that investors would rather hear lies if the truth is bad. I share your hope that we can learn from one another and have open discussions and debates about the merits of competing investments on these threads instead of becoming simple cheerleading groups. However, I believe that the response one gets to such criticism is heavily dependent on the tone one uses in conveying it. It is much better to be objective and openminded than simply to criticize, especially when you may not have as much knowledge about the subject as some others, as you now seem to acknowledge. Your earlier post states: "SDLI had its shot and has gone from rookie of the year to old timer. Nothing short of re-tooling their production process will make them profitable and competitive. SLIC has begun where SDLI left off. It may only be a matter of time until most of the laser diode customers see it that way too." Do you see how that is a bit argumentative and how you could be accused of coming on a bit strong? If you are truly interested in learning more about these companies, why not ask, rather than expressing opinions as if they were absolute truths? SC
