AOL got the point early on, NSCP didn't. MSFT understood it, but the Feds got in the way.

Yeah right. That's the reason MS had to give away IE. Check out this article.

Instead, it was Mr. Case who became the dominant player in the Internet business, building AOL into the world's largest Internet provider.


Gates screwed up somewhere. Maybe MS should have knocked off AOL and gave the service away for free.
