WEBT number 1 on yesterday's watch list selected by Individual Investor today as Stock of the day. individualinvestor.com NEWP Stock #1 today's watch list was up over 6% by day's end and stock #1 Watch List January 10 list VLTS was up nearly 12% and #1 yesterday's watch list was WEBT.. SSTI called as SSTI was going positive ended the day up nearly 11% and RFMD also called up 5 1/2 and ended up near its day high. RATL up 4 and GENE and EGLO both called were up nicely intraday but GENE after a super showing since December 27 and even today up over 10%, was well off its high at the close. This will be a stock pickers and 1-2 day swing trader's market it seems until the next FED meeting is behind us. EXAR kept up momentum. NSM ended nicely and some others never got off the ground leaving the slots open for the winners. VTSS which I did not hold through earnings was a buy today as I posted and you could have had anticipatory upswing before the report..sold and rebought again today which is the right way to play VTSS. INTC options which are doing well up to its fourth day is still a hold but I'm not sure I'll chance holding all ten calls through earnings.

Take your profits as they come and I wouldn't really hold anything more than for a 9% profit or so. So I would say don't let your winners run, but rather let them walk, because you don't want to hold them through a correction. Only in cases when they close nicely do I hold over and even then I check in pre market and market open for any signs of retreat.
