Mike,

Look closer at the numbers you pulled. They are for 1998 vs. 1997.

Intel has posted a string of record quarterly earnings for the last 4 or 5 quarters (if not more). IMO, the fact that they missed EPS by a penny here or there is completely irrelevant. What is important is Intel's future prospects. Of course we view these prospects from a 100% opposite perspective <g>.
