I was going to say, thee's not a lot you can do to screw up a CDRom. If you remove the hardware profile, it'll recognize the drive next time you boot up and will want to install drivers. Worst case scenario, you have to take it down to Joe's Tech Emporium and have them charge you an arm and a leg for fixing a $45 CDRom drive.
