You don't think AOL will hit 55? That is only 11% away. IMHO, it wouldn't take much to get there. But if we break through 55, don't worry. There is even stronger support at 50. Assuming, of course, the market stays at the top where it is now with no correction to sweep AOL further downward. However, IMHO, the whole market will correct downward by early February unless the PPI numbers tomorrow are good AND Greenspan doesn't get negative in his speech tomorrow afternoon AND the CPI numbers Friday are good AND the Fed doesn't pull more Y2K insurance liquidity from the market (driving the bond down further: yield up) AND the traditional January inflows into funds doesn't end AND the Fed announces a neutral bias after they raise short term rates on the 2nd of Feb. What do you think the probability of all this happening is?
