Coming out...

I just want to say hi to the thread and thank all of you for providing this most educating piece of the internet. I very much like the idea that people from all over this small planet discuss Borges, Umbria, Starbucks and SFTBF.

I've been following this magnificent board from post #1 when I had coincidentally bought 300 shares of SFTBF at what was then 68 $ or sth. I was placing this initial bet on the fact that the value of SFTBF's YHOO shares was worth more than SFTBF's market capitalization. I did believe in YHOO then and in fact bought YHOO and got a couple of promising internet ventures for free. It was a bet since I dumped my entire portfolio (AAPL, SEG, NTKI, ADCT, IFMX, ORCL, HS <g>,...) and put every penny into SFTBF and this is surely not sth. I'd advice anybody to try at home. By pure luck it worked out so far.

Now, 12 months later, I am at least able to afford a SI lifetime membership. Jay forced me to do so by repeatedly publishing my mails here (This must not be forgiven and will be severely penalized in the future). However, I'll take out some cash in January (tax free then) and put a down payment on this house/vineyard in Piedmont (Italy) Jay was mentioning earlier. Of course in summer everyone on this board will lightly be able to afford a flight to Turin to join mine and Jay's little porch party (porch is just referring to a metaphor I once used - you're invited to get drunk indoors).

Thanks again for your insight and enthusiasm that (plus German tax laws) kept me stuck to this stock. I will try to give back the little I know.

Kai
