The way I see it, RMBS are invoicing Toshiba for their royalty 30 days after Toshiba invoiced the RIMM manufacturer. regarding the length of the chain, and the necessity to initially fill the channels, I think it more than likely that revenues could have started in Q4/99. If so, the 10 cents earnings will be blown away

Comments anyone?

hi alan,
the situation as i see it is, the pc shipments with rdram last quarter will not be reported this month...they will be reported in april.

rmbs recognizes revenues the quarter after shipping not 30 days. to be precise..it is the quarter after the oem accepts the rdram which is typically a few days before they go into boxes.

i expect the initial PII rdrams to start shipping this quarter, the revenues will be recognized next quarter and be reported in july.
if sony PII's are blockbusters out of the gate, and if micron is in production, and if intel increases rdram chipset production, i expect investors to recognize the earnings tornado for rmbs at that time.

there is a huge carrot dangling in front of intel...they get to cash in 1 million warrants @ $10 when 20% of chipset production supports rdram for two sequential quarters.
