Marc - Here is a primer on SGI I put together for my buddies on the Value Thread that might fill in some gaps for you. techstocks.com As value investors (ie. Graham/Newman/Buffet/Fisher), short term for us means "a couple of years". It seems like most people there days have a trading mentality where "short term" means anything shorter than a quarter.
