I thought everyone knew what ISO 9000 was. Basically, it is a set of business process standards for commerce...more and more companies are adopting these (in many cases it is a mandate, as company "A" won't deal with company "B" unless company "B" is ISO-certified; so this is a growing sack of potatoes). Consider that someday nearly every company in the world will operate under ISO standards (or be forced out of business) -- this looks like a fat, long-term market for Visio's process-diagram software: in order to operate under ISO 9000 processes it is required that you document/diagram them.

So you might be able to see how this is similar to "Year 2000" in that it is a sweeping, world-wide trend. But, unlike Year 2000, the ISO trend will run well into the next century.
