You can't be serious! Why do you think the COM+ architecture is so popular? Why do you think all of the IE specific extensions are so popular? The answer to all of these is that, increasingly, the defacto markets standard client was IE. These things do not run on Macs or Unix. If Navigator still had 90% market share, CORBA and EJB along with NSCP's proprietarty Javascript extensions and DHTML (suchas layers) would rule the day. Alas, that has not come to be.

I can't believe you could possibly deny this.
