Taking it private makes no sense to me either. At some point Stan will realize he needs help, and that it won't come from Wall Street as they've pretty much abandoned him. A meaningful equity partnership or outright sale are his only good options, IMO.

I agree bankruptcy seems very unlikely, but then so does a stunning reversal of fortune. Unless Stan can remake himself the company may be destined to merely exist in some benign state of mediocracy. How painful!

There's a strong likelihood this comapny has gone just as far as Stan can take it (which is nothing to sneeze at). So, the real issue is whether he knows this or not. An entrepeneur's ego can be a blessing or a curse.

Until we get a big change, I'm afraid we're stuck with dead money. And so is Stan.
