My observations regarding INTC indicate that they are taking all the necessary steps to position themselves as a major wireless ASIC vendor.

NOK's and MOT's difficulties in the RF arena are well known. LSI and
DSP have had some success.

You were suggesting that INTC have no RF skills. You, of all people should know how fluid the job situation is in SD. QCOM have been leaking talent for years, either via poaching or engineers starting up their own outfits. These outfits in turn get bought out by the big players, everyone is happy (except QCOM perhaps).

INTC definitley have the required expertise to make a go of this.
