BOMBARDIER ADDS FOURTH Q SERIES CUSTOMER IN JAPAN WITH
Q200 SALE TO NAGASAKI AIRWAYS

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Bombardier Aerospace announced today that
Nagasaki Airways Co. Ltd. has placed a firm order for one Q200*
turboprop for its regional airline operations in Nagasaki
Prefecture on Kyushu, Japan's westernmost province. Delivery is
scheduled for the first quarter of 2001.
Nagasaki Airways, which was established in 1961, will fly the Q200
on the Iki-Fukuoka and Iki-Nagasaki routes. Planned utilization is
about 2,000 hours per year.
"We selected the Q200 because of its unrivalled performance, low
operating costs, proven reliability and outstanding passenger
appeal through its Noise and Vibration Suppression (NVS) system,"
said Kazutaka Muraoka, president of Nagasaki Airways.
"We are very pleased that Nagasaki Airways is the first Q200
customer in the important Japanese regional airline marketplace,"
said Steven A. Ridolfi, president of Bombardier Aerospace,
Regional Aircraft. "It further expands the firmly-established
presence of our Q Series turboprops in the country."
The Nagasaki Airways order adds to Bombardier Aerospace's already
strong presence in the growing Japanese market for efficient and
economical regional turboprop aircraft. In 1999 Air Nippon Co.
Ltd. of Tokyo placed a firm order for three 56-seat Q300*
airliners. Other Dash 8(r) aircraft are operated in Japan by
Amakusa Airlines and Ryukyu Air Commuter.
In the Asia-Pacific region as a whole in 1999, Bombardier sold 11
Q Series and seven CRJ* aircraft to eight operators.
