Patrick, Hi!! ANOTHER PIECE IN THE PUZZLE?? (Ignored or overlooked by most? ) December 13th Reuters: IBM TECHNOLOGY EXECUTIVE TO BECOME DELL VICE CHAIRMAN Now most folks know that Vanderslice was "released" by Lou Gerstner to make it to Austin...Amazinly no surprise to anyone up here... :o) Well, at the end of the article we find another piece of the puzzle which I believe has been ignored...Let's just say that the Vanderslice deal of managing the March 99 tech deal to DELL doesn't ring any bells...But, then we have the actual man leaving IBM for DELL...IMO dead giveaway...But, what no one has mentioned and made comment on was his replacement: "the Armonk N.Y. based company said it had shifted Linda Sanford, the current chief of IBM's sales force to focus solely on the storage business. Nick Donofrio, the head of IBM's research division, was named to replace Vanderslice as head of the technology components unit".. Patrick, if you'll recall I wrote a long post on the "mixing up of IBM and tearing it a part" about two months ago.. (Nov. 6th Poughkeepsie Journal)there had been an article up here in our paper when IBM first announced layoffs in manufacturing... :o) BUY DELL ($17B contract is coming) and that's just the start...
