Don't wish to split hairs too thinly, but using Oracle Developer and Oracle Application Server, apps are developed that run with same look and feel, security, etc., as web apps and as client/server apps (same object code). So why wouldn't an Oracle shop do that? It saves big bucks in development, deployment, support, with no compromise in security, performance, capability, etc. And talk about switching costs!
