Jake,

I suspect that OBJS is valued according to a formula that has nothing to do with the price of SBAS stock.

Factors that would make more sense would be: how OBJS performs certain tasks between the announcement of the acquisition and the time it becomes final; what its books look like after auditing; and how many key employees agree to come over to SBAS. OBJS was also planning to divest its operations in Europe (England and Germany?), which I'm sure also played a role in the valuation.

Until OBJS sends out the proxy sometime this month, which should set out the formula, there is no way to tell whether the valuation will be on the low end or the high end. Until then, it is risky to buy OBJS at more than around 45 cents a share.
