Crazy, This is a follow up to what I posted last night about the sticky cursor syndrome. Just for fun, I terminated all the processes that had been started on my machine at the time it booted up, except for Explorer. Then I ran my usual set of programs (myTrack, IB Workstation for trading, a couple of browser windows and a couple of mIRC windows, plus Ping Plotter to monitor my network connection. I didn't see a sticky cursor all day, even when my usual net failures occurred. I had run a defrag last night, but I've done that before and it didn't stop the problem. I also ran scandisk the night before, which identified several bad clusters, but I still had sticky cursor yesterday after that scandisk. I'll go back to normal operation tomorrow to see if the stickies return, but I'm thinking one of those things running behind the scenes may be causing the problem. I'll give you an update after tomorrow. You may want to try it yourself. Dan
