Sable Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of ST Systems Corp.
(CDNX:SYT) and a leading manufacturer and marketer of restaurant
POS systems, announced today two new product lines - DirecTouch
and ExacTouch - covering the broad spectrum of table-service
restaurant needs.

DirecTouch integrates color flat-panel touch-screen PCs with cash
drawers, printers, card swipes, customer displays, and other
peripherals. An extensive selection of standard and optional
applications addresses all facets of order entry, table
management, menu management, financials, timekeeping, management
reporting and control, promotional programs, and system and data
security. DirecTouch is available in both Windows 98 and NT
versions. Each may be tailored to the individual restaurant's
operational and managerial needs. This modularity also makes
DirecTouch affordable by restaurants of many sizes.

The ExacTouch family of products is designed, configured, and
priced to be competitive with cash registers. However, because
it provides configurations and functionality similar to that of
DirecTouch at an even lower cost, ExacTouch will be extremely
attractive to small, single-unit restaurants which might
previously have been unable to consider such capability.

Since both DirecTouch and ExacTouch address somewhat different
markets, they are designed to supplement Sable's already widely
installed and popular 80NT and 100NT products, preferred by many
full-service restaurant chains who desire comprehensive
home-office networking capability. Sable will continue to sell,
install, and service their Sable NT systems.

As it has done in the past, Sable Technologies will market the
new products, along with the existing Sable NT system, directly
to the end user. As a result, service, maintenance and support
will be highly competitive. Together, the three product
offerings - DirecTouch, ExacTouch, and Sable NT - now enable
Sable to offer POS solutions to all sizes and types of
full-service restaurants.

Initial deliveries of DirecTouch and ExacTouch systems have
already begun.

ST Systems, through its subsidiaries Sable Technologies and
Documentor Sciences, provides experienced, professional
systems-integration services, addressing the POS and back-office
needs of both table-service and quick-service restaurants. With
its deserved reputation for 24-hour service and customer loyalty,
ST Systems is favorably positioned for continued growth and
profitability into the new millennium.
