***Globalstar will be sued*** Maybe it isn't Globalstar LP with the problem, but any company showing coverage where there isn't any is likely to be sued for a LOT of money when a yacht sinks and the promised coverage doesn't exist and some distraught widow loses her husband and children.

Those coverage maps should have BIG RED CAVEATS put on them.

They do give the impression and so does the advertising, that you can just take off to an iceberg and use your Globalstar phone. Of course you'd expect it to work where the coverage is shown as good. You especially get that impression as 'Dealer' did, if the sales person TELLS you you can get coverage in Aruba. If the sales people don't know what's going on, then things are in a bad way.

The fine print is too fine for me to read on globalstarusa.com it takes some 'zooming' to be able to read it.

The map should be called a 'THEORETICAL COVERAGE MAP' not a 'Coverage Map'.

This is symptomatic of the lack of customer focus. The business should be seen from the customer's point of view, not the inventor's or the satellite's.

I noticed Globalstar USA also warned that the system might get overloaded. That means they haven't figured out how "Cat's Eyes" marketing can solve that problem and maximize profits. It's absurd to not be able to get through any time. They say "Service may be temporarily limited or suspended when the system reaches its maximum capacity"... Groan....

That's no way to maximize revenue, profit and customer satisfaction.

If this system is sold as 'cellular gap filling' then it should do just that. It's really just another cellphone system with gaps everywhere. It is NOT Global [yet].

Sales people and advertising better reflect that fact. Dealer got the wrong impression. That's bad selling.
