I think the hammer will come down on MSFT when AOL introduces its next version of Communicator. Combined with SUN's Star Portal the desktop will have real competition. For $21.95 a month you can get state-of-the-art word processing, spreadsheets and graphics. No more upgrades for software. Thank goodness. Everything should be compatible with other. You can save it on a SUNW/AOL/Netscape location or on a commodity PC.
Out with the old and in with the new. By the way, AOL uses SUNW servers.
