I'm sure you're sick of getting these simple resolutions, but here's mine also... plug and unplug the mouse in the back of the machine to make sure contacts are clean... and borrow someone else's mouse and try it on your machine and see if the problem stays with the machine or the mouse.. (If you've tried both of these, please don't be insulted)
