Re: Autopsy and Police Reports

It's my understanding that police reports are only public information when someone has been charged with a crime. As the Jovin murder is classified as an "ongoing investigation" the police report is not available. I don't know the law on the autopsy report but I suspect at the very least the same criteria.

The only clue we have about what the autopsy might show is the one picture the police showed Jim when they interrogated him. That picture was a closeup of Suzanne's head with a thin visible line on the right side of her neck, suggesting the person were right handed if she were cut from behind as would seem logical (Jim is right handed, but so are millions of others). Jim said there was no "separation" (as in a partial severing) that he could see nor any blood. We both concluded that at least with the lack of blood that being an autopsy picture and not crime scene picture that perhaps the medical examiner had "cleaned up". If not, it would suggest that Suzanne were dead by the time that wound was made and thus no blood pressure.

Maybe Jim Barrett might know more about these things.
