I don't know how you are going to find "factual" evidence when the only record that exists is the one that you can't prove. You can't use the Bible to prove the Bible. I do think that the jewish historian Josephus mentioned Jesus, but how can you prove that he knew what he was talking about? I guess it all comes back to logic and faith. Myself, I think there is enough evidence for the faith, especially in that the disciples were a somewhat weak incoherent group prior to the death and resurrection of Christ. After his admittedly unproved resurrection and ascension they became bold in their faith and 11 out of the 12 died a martyr's death. The early church's meteoric rise and the number of Jewish converts, especially early on, is also evidence that Jesus was who he said he was, and did what the Bible says he did. I have faith, but I also have questions, more questions than answers. I can't prove anything, but I do believe.
