PB - About 14 months ago I went out to the Bay Area to visit my son, who had just moved to Silicon Valley (he is now starting a B2B internet company there) and I emailed Paul to arrange to meet him for lunch. Paul emailed back that it must feel great that Intel was selling for 95. That was presplit and quite a runup at the time. Now it has doubled yet again. I cannot adequately express my thanks to you and the other Intel employees who have worked so hard and so well to create this phenomenal company. You and Tench and thousands of others who have created a wonderful investment and a company that contributes vitally to the economic health of the entire world economy. Thank you. And thanks for posting. Intel is a volatile stock and the ride can get bumpy and even scary every now and then. I have enormous interest in your posts for their calm and reasoned tone and solid logic. And your restraint in the face of mercilous taunting. Wow, what a quarter. What a year. What a future. From a stockholder since 1983 (my wife now says why didn't we buy more back then).

PS I love those posts that are saying "Yes, but the quality of the earnings ....." Kind of reminds me of the cartoon back in the 80s that showed someone saying "But even if the Soviet Union unilaterally disarmed and ceased its provocations, would that be enough?"
