a fascinating speech. On the one hand it looks like Greenspan recognizes that he has to manage or balance the economy by traditional standards but on the other hand he also recognizes that we are undergoing such a tremendous and revolutionary change in information technology that he can't stifle it either. It's a tough job not having a rearview mirror or history as a guide. John
