Sedona to Acquire Acxiom Corporations Customer Information Management System - CIMS - Suite of Software Offerings

UNIT TO BE ACCRETIVE TO EARNINGS; ADDS 80 ACCOUNTS
SEDONA Corporation (Nasdaq: SDNA) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Acxiom Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) to acquire Acxioms Customer Information Management System (CIMS) business unit.
Terms were not disclosed, but SEDONA said the closing on the acquisition is expected on or about January 31, 2000. Once completed, the acquisition is expected to be accretive to earnings and will add approximately 80 client accounts.
The CIMS operation, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to the financial services industry, with a particular emphasis on the retail banking industry.

Greg Bjorndahl, Group Leader for Acxioms CIMS business unit, said steps are being taken to make the transition seamless for customers, employees and others. SEDONAs ability to develop software tools for CRM applications for the CIMS business unit makes this an ideal match, he added. Bjorndahl noted that Acxiom will continue its focus on introducing its new customer data integration technology, AbiliTecSM, to the CRM marketplace. |
