REVERE, Mass., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Trend-Lines, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRND) today announced that they have completed an asset purchase and employment agreement with Orman Beckles, founder and CEO of Beckles Enterprises, a leading
e-commerce design and hosting firm, to enhance their focus on Internet operations. Mr. Beckles will serve as Director for a new division of Trend-Lines, Trend-Lines Internet Services, which will focus on providing e-commerce solutions, web site design and hosting, and Internet consulting for the Trend-Lines parent and its divisions.

Trend-Lines, a leading cataloger and retailer of woodworking tools and accessories as well as golf equipment and clothing, currently operates 228 Woodworkers Warehouse, Golf Day, and Post Tool stores in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Nevada,and California. Additionally, the company has golf and tool catalogs, as well as e-commerce Internet web sites at www.trend-lines.com and www.golfday.com (in addition to their www.woodworkerswarehouse.com and www.post-tool.com retail websites).

"We are looking to aggressively expand upon our retail and catalog operations by improving the Internet position of our Trend-Lines and Golf Day sites, while at the same time exploring new Internet ventures that take advantage of our existing intellectual capital and distribution networks," said Stanley Black, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trend-Lines.

Initially the new company will focus on improving Trend-Lines' two e-commerce web sites, as well as establishing new Internet ventures that extend the company's brand name and product lines.

The new division will operate out of the Company's corporate headquarters in Revere, Massachusetts, which also houses the distribution center for its Woodworkers Warehouse and Golf Day operations. In addition, the company maintains a second distribution center facility in Hayward, California.
