Art, Jay and Thread,

When the assets are sold at a profit, that produces a one-time gain in income, reported on the earnings sheet.

SanDisk has not sold UMC shares and is restricted from selling for at least 6 months. They are reporting a one-time gain on the issuance of shares, not the sale of these shares.

SIII and ALSC have done exactly the same thing as I reported earlier.
