re: "Greeny, we know you are spineless." No, I think he's trying very hard for a soft landing. He's trying to slow consumption (and lower the stock market's PE) in a gradual, gentle manner. But the higher stocks go, and the higher consumer confidence gets, the more unlikely a soft landing becomes. When Mr. Market argues with the Fed, the Fed always wins, eventually. The risk premium will be put back into stocks.
