Sorry, I should have provided more of an explanation. Espernet.com is (was?) a hastily put together roll up of 43 ISPs with a total subscriber base of only 274,000. All of the deals, which I believe were contingent on the completion of the IPO, were signed during a 16 week period ending in April 1999. Integrating the operations of these ISPs, many of which have less than 3,000 subscribers, would have been very difficult. I don't think that the IPO would have been very well received and the "taint" may have had an adverse effect on ONEM.
