But Ashok Kumar, an analyst at US Bancorp Piper Jaffray in Menlo Park, Calif., estimated Intel sold about 31.6 million microprocessors in the fourth quarter, compared with 25.6 million a year earlier and 30.1 million in the third quarter." RE: ASPs WSJ said, "In the fourth quarter, average microprocessor prices were $191, up slightly from $190 in the third quarter and down from $220 a year earlier, Mercury said."
