Hi S. et al
Nothing really new to say except that the intc connection has officially been upgraded from a theory to a real possibility. ***from Israeli Investor 12/21/1999 (thanks S!!) 'Also, during the breakout session he mentioned in passing, like it wasn't a big deal, that maybe Intel might be licensing a DSPG core (my guess probably palm) for xdsl/broadband! ' re: Cisco 'First, the VoIP chips that DSPG now sells (into the client) are primarily going to Cisco. Could have missed it, I suppose, but "Cisco" was news to me. ' re: licensing 'Probably most importantly, Igal Kohavi, DSPG's chairman, mentioned that "maybe they would do something with licensing" to enhance shareholder value along the lines of a spinoff. Igal said, in fact, that the company is already structured to do something like this as the licensing side of DSPG is running separately now. ' ******************************************* Tom, I know how it feels to have your 'proven' indicator not work for you. I'm personally very sensitive to increasing inventories (DSO) -- was burned big time with this once, and since, I've missed or got out of several things because of it.
For me, if the insiders sell on a regular basis I don't take it too seriously.., there can be so many easy explanations. I think insider buying is a more meaningfull signal.
Oh, and now that we're back above 90, yeah..buy at 88. hee hee seriously, I think this is a pretty safe bet for at least a year. This is currently ~30% of my portfolio, and I'll probably work that down closer to 20% +/- what news we might get.
But then there's Magnum.., though my feeling is that they won't do anything to tank the stock.
cheers -Kevin
pps. re: insider selling. fvcx, another stock I own, is sold regularly by its CEO and I believe has added considerable downward pressure to the stock. I personally think it is meaningless -- just a rich guy with a life style to maintain. |
