With this complete telehealth solution, the patient has constant access
to the caregiver, physicians, monitoring services, and patients with
similar physical limitations. This is made possible from the innovative
IP (Internet Protocol) networking capabilities that are inherent to the
Unified Network infrastructure.

Nortel Networks' 1-Meg Modem service offers new Digital Subscriber
Line (DSL) technology, that promises an exciting new way to access
the Internet, Intranets or corporate LANs at blazing speeds.
Supporting data rates of 1-Mbps downstream and 120-kbps
upstream, the service delivers cost-effective bandwidth, ideal for
today's Internet access and remote LAN connectivity needs.

Scalable and easy to deploy, 1-Meg Modem service opens new
revenue streams by enabling public carriers to offer new high-speed
access network connection service to ISPs and corporate LANs.

From an end user perspective, 1-Meg Modem service is
"plug-and-play". The ervice works with existing telephones, without the
addition of a plan old telephone system (POTS) splitter, complex
in-line isolation filter, or in-home re-wiring. The low start-up costs of
this technology enable service providers to provide data service with
minimal risk.

Group, etc.), patient records.

Wording under graphic: Nortel Networks ISDN Basic Rate Interface
(BRI) offers a single standard interface for access to fully-integrated
voice, data, and image communications. Forming the backbone of an
all-digital network, ISDN operates through a set of protocols which
have been adopted for use in the United States and incorporated in
the National ISDN-1 U.S. standards. A single telephone line delivers
two 64-kbps B channels and one 16-kbps D channel over a standard
twisted-pair loop. Each of the circuit-switched B channels can transmit
voice or data simultaneously, while the D channel transmits call control
messages and packets data. This 2B+D configuration can support up
to eight terminals, two of them voice terminals. This is a cost-effective
public-network solution that ensures network reliability and data
integrity.

Bottom center, large letters: Enabling Internet-based care
management for the high-cost chronically ill.

Inside top right, large letters: For the 1% of patients who consume
35% of all healthcare dollars. he CyberCare Electronic House Call

convenient location varies, depending upon the specific needs of the
caregiver. Nortel Networks offers a variety of high-speed access
options. Whether you choose Nortel Networks 1-Meg Modem service,
DSL or ISDN Basic Rate Interface, the healthcare organization pays
only for the services required.
