ljlb--I received a PM on that one today,
and then, it just disappeared (the message
that is)--strange.
So what was the deal with the market today--
I thought Greenspan was supposed to be talking
things down, did all his rich buddies at the
Economics club (?) help him out with his speech?
Another 1/4 percent, so what? If he wants to
shut down the stock market he should have the
fed move rates up a full percent all at once.
Turned on the boob tube just in time to see Kernan
talking about the "genomics stocks"--he said something
about not wanting to leave anybody out. His list
include HGSI, AFFX, and CRA, yup, that's the list
all right, three of them. What a joke--I used
to think he was a cut above the rest but to imply
that the these three companies are the master list
for biotech and the human genome, ha! And then he goes
on to praise Michael Murphy for the great call (and mix
him up with McCamant at the same time).
That's it, I'm selling my DirecTV dish, the PC, the
car, my stereo, the furniture--dumping all the stocks
at the open on Tuesday....cashing out the 401k and
the IRA and heading to the country. I'll buy a Yurt
and plop it on a lot up in Skagit county and sulk,
why cant Joe mention my stocks!
