bgr, ask the average investor if they know what chained dollars are. then ask the pros. i bet less than 10% of the pros have even hear of the concept. hey, it is only half of gdpgrowth, the basis for any and all positive productivity arguments and the reason why folks reason inflation can stay low. not that big a deal, huh? we agree the readers have a responsibility. however, most folks are busy, no attempt is made to highlight the manipulation and the folks that do it KNOW this and do it on purpose. why? it works.
