Thank you for the news release.
This will put the vendors' warehouses into the service of the web business that Service Merchandise runs, without any outlay of cash in front other than the additional items to be presented on the internet. Now SMC has to install some computers(5 to 10 units) for shoppers of the showrooms to order from the net in the furniture dept..
On the other hand, stores should be densely packed every day. Inventory in the warehouse part of the store should be now displayed on the floor, keeping inventory low and turning over fast.
This is going to be interesting, because SMC will have a jump on most brick and mortar except Walmart.
