NEW YORK, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Schroder & Co. analyst James
Stone on Friday said he set new earnings and stock price targets
for Schlumberger Ltd. (NYSE:SLB - news) reflecting its spinoff of
the Sedco Forex marine drilling unit.

-- Said for the fourth quarter of 1999 he expected earnings per share of 23 cents after excluding the
Sedco Forex unit. Forecasted earnings of $1.20 for 2000 and $1.84 for 2001.

-- Set new price target of $71, down from $76, to reflect that ``about $6 per share of
(Schlumberger) value was passed off to shareholders as part of the spinoff of Sedco Forex.'

-- Schlumberger completed the merger of its Sedco Forex unit with Transocean Offshore Inc. late
last year, creating the world's biggest offshore drilling contractor, called Transocean Sedco Forex Inc
(NYSE:RIG - news).
