RC,

Not insulted at all, but the problem in this case is clearly something about the processing and not the input signal from the mouse.

Went back to my normal configuration today, and had the problem again. I will adjust the graphics acceleration setting next time, but FWIW when it started today I did a Ctrl Alt Del and terminated one process called iomonitor (or something like that. I'll have to boot again to be sure.) That seemed to clear the problem. Any Windows guru know what I terminated?? I didn't seem to lose anything I needed.

Dan
