I'm 40 minutes from the Falls by car.

Incidentally, a year or two ago, a fully sane, reasonably intelligent young man, who possessed significant kayaking skills decided that his chances of surviving a kayak ride over the Falls were acceptable. His pals videotaped the trip. He successfully negotiated the upper rapids (amazing!) but to my knowledge, his body was never found. Reminds me of today's brave dippers in some ways.
