I, too, find the IPR and royalty stream issues difficult to fathom (an understatement!).
I've read a lot of Dalglish's information, which frankly is interesting, but I think we, even those without noses, can smell a bias there.
The company website has a fluffy PowerPoint presentation. The company website says those nice things about 'agressive' pursuit of licensing the patent portfolio.
But I don't really see the evidence that they are going to clean up on retroactive royalty streams from (2G) TDMA & GSM from all parties.
I would like to believe they are going to clean up (financially), but do not feel convinced in any way. Down we go into the mushy world of IPR litigation and licensing, and, as evidenced by the historical Motorola-IDC case, it is not at all clear, looking into the crystal ball, what the future holds.
All statements see to be forward-looking, talking about 3G licensing, development relationships, and the in-development B-CDMA ASIC (with TI).
