"No Inflation"

I agree that inflation is creeping up. Consumers are spending like mad now.

I went pickup and Tahoe shopping the other day. Dealers cannot keep Z71 pickups in stock. And people are paying list price for 2000 Tahoes. In fact, some dealers want 1k to 2k over list for a 2000 Tahoe. Those darn Tahoes cost 40k and a Z71 is about 32K. Outragious and they are selling like hotcakes. I talked to my CPA and he thinks there is just too much money floating around right now.

Did anybody here pay any antention to the new vehicles announced at the Autoshow this week. Talk about some fancy SUV's and gas guzzling pickups. How about a 4 door GM pickup with a pickup bed that extends 6 to 8 ft, has sliding doors, and has a camera in the back. All for the price of 40k.

Needless to say, my old pickup with 180k on it is sounding pretty good right now. Don't have to worry about dents or hail storms with it. Its been threw all that stuff.
I quess I'll drive it until the wheels fall off. Plus, its a gas guzzling dude. At least I am doing my part to drive up the price of gas.
