Fred, I know my few shares/votes will be meaningless by themselves, but just the same, everyone's shares/votes together will mean something: They will either be a majority Yes or a majority No. Everyone who cares one way or the other and holds shares should vote. Saying "your vote will be meaningless" only undermines the voting process. By that reasoning why should anyone vote in elections for public officials, since each person's vote by itself is statistically meaningless?

I say this because when you say, "The big investors who have the most to gain or lose from the deal will be voting YES.", you don't know that. Casey will be voting yes, and perhaps you personally know some big investors who also will be voting yes. But you don't know how all the big investors are going to vote. Keep in mind that we have seen that "The Street" apparently doesn't like this deal. Those that were the most negative on it have probably dumped their shares, which has caused the share price erosion. But we simply don't know how the new-comers feel.
